Yellow milk glass on black cord
A beautiful and rare nugget of yellow milk seglass, that has been drilled through longitudinally and threaded onto black S-Lon nylon cord, and will be finished with sterling silver link-together clasps. The seaglass nugget is 18mm long, 9mm wide at widest and 9mm thick at thickest and the length of the necklace can be cut to suit (please select length when ordering).
The Seaham glass factory mostly produced bottles between the early 1850s and 1921 when it closed, however during this time there was also a small amount of milk glass tableware produced. This milk glass is opaque and was generally made in pale, pastel colours. It is quite uncommon nowadays and finds are rare and to be cherished!
