Green MILK SEAGLASS, 20mm 14k gold hoop earrings
Two beautiful and rare pieces of green Seaham milk seaglass. The Seaham glass factory mostly produced bottles between the early 1850s and 1921 when it closed, however during this time there was also a small amount of milk glass tableware produced. Milk glass is opaque and was generally made in pale, pastel colours, and often looks more like ceramic than glass. It is quite uncommon nowadays and finds are rare and to be cherished!
Beautiful nuggets of rare green milk seaglass threaded onto 14k filled gold hoops that are 20mm diameter and 0.6mm thick. Each earring adorned with 2 x 2mm diameter 14k filled gold beads.

These are small/medium earrings that create a great statement but that are very lightweight and easy to wear The pair only weigh approximately 4g.
I use filled 14k gold rather than plated gold because the gold is mechanically bonded to the base metal making it a good, affordable alternative to solid gold.
